Nicholle Kobi is telling the story of black women through her illustrations

Nicholle Kobi  {@nichollekobi} is a Black French Illustrator who lives in Paris and whose works are fashioned around normalizing the Black woman. Her works portray the beauty of being not just black, but a black woman, recognizes the diverse forms in which beauty presents itself, and eliminates the yardsticks that have been put in place in defining beauty.

In a quite conscious effort to water down stereotypes, she has brought to the limelight the details of the lives of black women, of all skin tones, and shapes, and sizes and fashion ideas, she has gone the extra mile to proving the words of the Luffina Lourduraj quote; Blessed Black chocolate, God has made You to rule the Land, that made You a slave.
