Flower Debuts Today at Terra Kulture And We Are Excited About It

Flower Debuts Today at Terra Kulture And We Are Excited About It

“Like the rose, there are thorns hidden in my beauty, like the rose, I remain beautiful despite my thorns”

The funny, edgy and thought provoking stage drama from Gbenga Yusuf, the musical director of Wakaa, Flower premieres today at the Terra Kulture Arena in Lagos, Nigeria and we are particularly excited about. Majorly because the play mirrors topics we as a people would rather be silent about, because it is a subtle chant for equality, a focus on flowers among us whose essence we so easily overlook.

A story that is intricately woven around the lives of five characters, it tells the story of womanhood and femininity, touching on the obvious, the ridiculous and the pain that  lurks unspoken in the secret fiber of our societies.

Through dazzling ballads, monologues and dance, themes spanning from self esteem, heartbreak, trust, tragic loss and what it means to be a wall flower are conveyed to the audience.

The show opens on the 6th of May 2017 at 4pm and another show at 7pm. It also continues on the 7th of May 2017 with the same showtime. Regular tickets go for five thousand Naira only, VIP tickets go for Ten Thousand Naira only and VVIP tickets can be purchased at Twenty Thousand Naira Only.

Part of the funds realized from the showing will be donated to charity.

Well Flower is here guys and we are excited!

Need something to do this weekend? See Flower! We’ll be there too.
